film and television editor

Kelly Soll has been passionate about film and television editing since she was 13 years old, which started with a love (obsession, really) for Friends and Moulin Rouge. After graduating college, she worked in news for a year before making the move to Los Angeles in 2010. She got her first job in post production working as a PA in Reality TV and worked her way up to Editor on The Bachelor, all while cutting music videos, weddings, commercials, sizzles, and short films on the side. For the last three years, Kelly has been working as an Assistant Editor in Scripted on shows such as: Yellowstone, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, Atypical, and Sex/Life. After editing several short films, Kelly cut her first feature, The Astrid Experience, during the pandemic in 2020, then, As Real As You Make It, in 2021.
In 2018, Kelly started teaching Assistant Editing classes for BIPOC and women to help them get their first AE jobs, and has also guest lectured at USC. One of the things she loves most about filmmaking is that there's always more to learn.
